It was the Sorcerer’s Apprentice birthday (nickname for the ministers assistant / “apprentice” / “padawan”). In a former life, she was an anti-terrorist specialist in the military. Now wants to study to become a minister (go figure).
You know that was all in excuse to finally try the Japanese/Italian place across the street (noodles/birthday thing).
Was always a bit intimidated to try, most times mostly saw Japanese tourists dining. But … nothing ventured …
Plus, lunch includes a small salad and drink.
Ginger ale (non-alcoholic).
Bacon and Seven Veggies Spaghetti: ベーコン& 7 種の野菜 Bacon, Fresh Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, Onions, Olives, Broccoli, Mushrooms, and Corn. Aglio olio e Peperoncino Style (Olive Oil, Chili Peppers, & Garlic). Both socks off. Bacon and mushrooms, hard to mess up. Vegetables were a nice touch. Large portion, pretty much the only meal yesterday (a little nosh for dinner, but that doesn’t count).
Got a frequent eater card too. Can’t make it a regular place, the weight gain will be traumatic/dramatic, but once in a while … 🙂
Happy Valley. Appropriate name.
Happy B-day J, hope you get your pointy wizard cap soon.
Enjoy. Eat well.
