Up until today, if I’m hunting for lunch, I usually head west (food places are closer). Ran an errand today heading east and found this.
Selection looked interesting, and they had the all important health department inspection.
Notice that the notice is posted next to instructions on how to wash hands? Just sayin’.
Ordered their spicy pork.
Cooked to order (a good thing), had to wait about 10 minutes (a not so good thing). Luckily my work schedule has an extended break between morning and afternoon (it’s complicated).
Brown rice, cooked correctly (soft but still “al dente), tossed salad with tomato and cucumber (a good thing), spicy pork, marinated in soy sauce, sugar, and Gojujang (just the right amount of spicy), raw shredded cabbage to soak up the meat drippings (almost a dish in itself). Four paws up, socks off.
As an added bonus, the wagon is associated with a local rehab center (job training?). So ate well and did well (in a small, distant sort of way).
BTW, the wagon has four and a half stars on Yelp. Not bad at all.
A new spot on the approved lunch list. 🙂
Enjoy. Eat well.
