I love soup for breakfast, with rice. Especially during the winter season. Not the creamy soups chowders (too heavy). Today’s breakfast (running errands in the area).
Ox head rice soup.
Something must have gotten lost in translation.
No eyeballs (thank goodness), no tongue, no brains (thank goodness again), just beef bits (cheek maybe?).
Soup was purposely prepared on the bland side. Seasoning was add your own. Tables had no chili paste or soy sauce, just as salt and pepper blend.
Of course, the ever-present banchan was included.
Which went very well with the “bland” soup and rice.
With The Mouse filled with warm soup and rice, ready to face the cooler and somewhat damp weather today. Bring it! 🙂
Enjoy. Eat well.
