Too bad we were situated in a private room, not much chance of listening to the live music.

A rare event, both The Cat and The Mouse picked the same choices.

Appetizer

Medley of mushrooms and Burgundy escargot, “Vole Au Vent”, truffle cream sauce. Wonderful. In a puff pastry. For me, a side of rice would have been perfect.

Intermezzo

Cranberry sorbet, very tart, reminded me of li hing mui.

Seared Chilean Sea Bass, Kabocha Squash Puree, “Keiki Portabello Persillades”, Creamy Leeks

The sea bass was excellent, however, the squash puree was “to kill for”, highpoint of the dish for me.

Sterling Silver Beef Tenderloin, Béarnaise Sauce, Pomme Parisienne, Braised Endive, Provencal Zucchini

My neighbor’s plate. She said beef was cooked to perfection, medium rare.

Chocolate Haupia Gâteau

The little red dots with white dots on the whipped cream? Tiny little mushrooms.
