Better known as cleaning out the kitchen.
Lunch. Inspired by a dish (Cong You Ban Mian, 葱油拌面), noodles tossed with hot oil and green onions. My favorite in Shanghai. Bear in mind, inspired, not copied. Used whatever was in the pantry, refrigerator, and herb pot.
Boil pasta per package, drain, add bacon grease green onions, and ginger, toss, salt and pepper to taste. This may be one of my new “go-to” dishes, sooooo simple, but soooooo tasty. 🙂
Dinner, again cleaned out the refrig. Yam, carrot, potato.
Bigger than my chef knife.
Simple winter food.
