Saturday breakfast. Hotel buffet (The Cat’s friend is still visiting).
At this point, I was done. The Cat and friend were still talking (in Chinese, don’t ask me what dialect), took one more turn at the buffet table (not to get more food, just to browse. Heh heh.
There they were, in a bowl with ice.
At first pass, thought they were some kind of DIY salad dressing, they were with the salad dressing. Had to study the contents for a bit for the lightbulb to go off.
Added the included mustard and sauce packet, and seasoned hijiki (seaweed) from the salad bar.
Stirred until frothy and slimy. Yummmmm!
The Cat’s friend wanted to get a bread knife. After some frantic searching, ended up here.
A brand new retail arm of a long time wholesaler. Think Costco/Sam’s Club-ish. Got her bread knife, almost one-fourth the price than in Hong Kong (and we complain about the high cost of living).
Ended the day at the outlet mall, more shopping. Can’t complain, got two BOGO shoes from Van’s (no, not a sk8er boi) nice and padded, like wearing a sofa. 🙂
Enjoy. Eat well.
