Not really “squishy”, just “rested”, “melded”, something. Let me explain. Picked up a ham and pâté bahn mi on the way home today.
It was “resting” for about 90 minutes by the time I ate it. The bread absorbed some of the moisture and flavor, the ingredients got acquainted. Mode for a better tasting sandwich, in my opinion.
While I like “fresh” sandwiches, there’s something to be said about letting ingredients time enough to “play” together (think leftovers).
What do ya think?
Enjoy. Eat well.
