More odds & ends. No real “ends”, but something really odd (in my opinion).
First, the not “odds”.
Supposed to be healthy, The Cat wanted to try. We’ve already tried avocado oil, been using olive oil for years.
First dish using coconut oil. Not bad, seems kind of heavy as compared with olive oil and avocado oil.
Just learned the downtown open market happens on Tuesdays as well as Fridays.
Picked the squash and young ginger today.
Found it in the back of our pantry, not the greatest (fresh is best), but saves some time. Throw everything together.
Finally, the odd, co-worker brought this back from China.
Weird (just my opinion), taste like xo sauce with a little bit of Chinese black bean paste mixed in. Might be good crushed and sprinkled on a tuna salad sandwich, stir-fried noodles, or Chinese chicken salad. On its own? Uhmmm, not really.
To be fair, I tried the new cinnamon bun flavored chips recently, today’s chip was better.
