Breakfast. Weekday breakfasts are mostly sandwiches, if at all. A lot of peanut butter (sometimes with jam). Once in a while it’s these.

English Muffin, Sausage, and Egg

Perfectly “decent”.

One of my former supervisors once evaluated me as “decent”. “Decent” was not an option on the form, “did not meet expectations”, “meets expectations”, or “exceeds expectations” were the options. To make a long story short, decent is in-between exceeds and meets. He could have come up with a better work. Sigh.

Anyway, the above sandwich (from Mickey D’s) was brought in today by one of the co-workers. One for each of us. Nice. Dunno why, he didn’t say.

To me, the sandwich is “perfectly decent”. Would definitely order/eat it again, What’s not to like about sausage and an egg? Just doesn’t that certain “oomph” to push it over the top of “exceeds expectations”.

A couple of weeks ago, picked this up.

From one of the lunch counters around the office. Now this is a sandwich. A whole sausage (with casing), split down the middle to flatten, and cooked on the flat top, English muffin toasted with butter. Tasty. Beyond “decent”. 🙂

Sausage probably from one of the big box stores, but texture, taste, looks, hands down pretty awesome. Definitely will order again, not too often, but soon.

Maybe I can do something similar with Chinese smoked sausage. Hmm, the possibilities. 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.
