Voluntold

Have to attend a dinner tomorrow night. One of The Cat’s friends is one of the organizers. I think it’s for China national day season. Somehow got voluntold to prepare a dish for “competition”. Weird. No stove, no microwave, not even portable stoves on site. Sheesh.

Made this.

Multi-Grain Stuffed Kabocha

Posted about this before (here). inspired by the Korean Danhobakbap.

According to The Cat, there is an area Nanniwan (南泥灣) near Yan’an, Shaanxi province that was in a siege situation during the Chinese civil war between the communist and national factions. Still trying to figure out how to warm this up tomorrow. Sigh.

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Mouse.
