Something happened yesterday that rarely happens. The cuz’s P & B actually liked one of my picks for lunch. Let me explain. Recently I’ve noticed that someplace that P likes, B is not so enthusiastic, and vice-versa. My tastes tend to run more on the side of P.
So yesterday, I suggested Hong Kong Noodle House.
House-made noodles and roast duck.
The menu allows mix and matching on rice or noodle base.
I went with my stand-by beef tendon and won ton soup noodle.
P ordered beef stew and roast duck “tossed” noodles.
Bowl of soup served separately to dip, think Japanese tsukemen style ramen.
After much thought, B ordered tossed noodles with ginger and green onions, and roast duck.
P liked. The Mouse liked, B, I thought was neutral. So when we left, I was gobsmacked when B said she actually enjoyed the noodles and wouldn’t mind making a return visit. Speechless. Had to go home and lie down. :O
I picked a place that both of them liked (and would go back). Maybe B was just being polite, but for now, I’ll take it.
Enjoy. Eat well.
