Learned something new today, cooked beans can be frozen. We don’t mind including beans in our diet, but sometimes its too much trouble. We either end up with a big batch of beans with no end in  sight, or the effort to prepare a small batch of beans is not worth the trouble.

This lesson came about when The Cat’s mother dropped off a bag of black-eyed beans. A quick search on the internet and I’m off.

I know, not much difference. I decided to cook them plain. No ham hock, no onions, celery, carrots, etc. I figured I could add these separately as needed.

I know, the supermarket sells bags of frozen black-eyed beans and lima beans, but for me, it was kind of an “aha” or “duh” moment. I’m kinda slow sometimes. 🙂
