A Compromise

The Cat is not really into the majority of beef parts. She will eat oxtails, tongue, and tendons though. Just not the regular cuts of meat.

Last night she worked late trying to finish up some projects. She  just wanted to eat and sleep. All she wants is a quick meal.

We ended up at Panda Cuisine (641 Keeaumoku Street, Honolulu, Hawaii) looking for soup noodles. Only three choices of soup noodles on  the menu won ton noodles, seafood noodles, and beef stew (Chinese style) noodles. The Cat is not a fan of won ton (for the record, The Mouse is a big fan), there was too much squid in the seafood noodles, and she wasn’t in the mood for beef stew.

I asked if they could substitute beef tendon for beef stew. They could. Compromise done.

The Cat said it was okay. I thought much better of it. The tendon was done well, soft (not stiff), tender, and flavorful.

Saw on another table that dim sum was available. At other restaurants, dim sum  is usually only available until lunch.

Ordered steamed custard filled buns.
