Our shiso plants seem to be thriving for now.

Red Shiso

The red shiso actually is a surprise. The red shiso plant we brought home died on us. This plant started growing in an empty pot we had lying around. I thought it was a weed until I smelled the leaves. Good thing The Cat didn’t let me pull it out.

According to the plant seller, people usually like green or red shiso, not both. I like both. Chalk another of my weird traits. Hee hee.

Now, all we need is some sashimi grade fish (shiso leaves + sashimi = awesome). Anyone out there want to make a contribution to The Cat and The Mouse’s dinner? Please feel free. Don’t be shy. 🙂
