Doing Good in the Neighborhood

Saw these at the mall grocery store.

Turns out, Chocolates on a Mission is affiliated with an organization that helps individuals in a transition situation.

These were solid dark chocolates with a whole coffee bean as well as ground coffee beans mixed in. A little sweeter than the dark chocolates at the shop. Very strong (in a good way) coffee flavor. Overall, very pleasant.

The chefs would probably say that the chocolates were not tempered correctly (not enough shine on the surface).

Taken in context, these chocolates are made not by professionals but by individuals learning a trade as well as learning to get their life back together. Not bad at all.

Helping the community and it involves chocolate. How cool is that.
