Small-kid time, hamburger patties had “filler” (an egg, breadcrumbs, etc).
Sometime later, hamburger patties started to become 100 percent pure, no filler. I think my first 100 percent pure burger patty was at a Mikey D’s (don’t judge, I was still a small kid).
Theoretically, 100 percent ground beef makes sense, oftentimes you don’t know the other ingredients a vendor may throw into their hamburger mix (unless you do it yourself).
Lately, I’ve tried two hamburgers, from two vendors that use 100 percent beef in their patties
.
I ordered the combo. Burger, fries, and drink.
Even comes with a handi-wipe, cute yeah?
The burger was good, but in my opinion, the mouth feel was a little coarse. I know, some people like that meat feel. Me personally, prefer a little softer texture.
The fries were really good though, even better than the burger, I thought.
My second burger.
This time, the combo came with a small side salad
Again, the meal was good, but I thought the meat was a little coarse.
I have come to the conclusion that I prefer filler in my burger patties.
Stay tuned tomorrow for my take on the burger patty, Mouse style. 🙂
Enjoy. Eat well.
