Leftovers in my camera, not really worthy of separate blogs, but still worth posting.
Canton Seafood Restaurant (923 Keeaumoku Street, Honolulu, Hawaii). Special price, buy another dish at regular price, and order the chicken for $4.99 (regular price $7.99?). Socks off good. Crispy skin, moist meat (yes, I ate the skin too), salt and pepper on the side for sprinkling to taste.
Donburiya Dondon (Ala Moana Center, Makai Food Court, Honolulu, Hawaii). Choice of a couple of dishes (I choose the oyako donburi), includes soup and drink. Special mall employee price (one of the perks of working at the mall).
Starbucks, while waiting for The Cat to finish her international conference call, ( I know, I know, but St. Germaine Bakery sold out of the japone donuts). A decent alternative (not too often though, a little too sweet). I especially liked the candied orange peel topping.
Chef p brought back from Australia (long story). Hmm, interesting (in a weird way). My personal opinion is that the flavors clashed with each other. I know citrus and dark chocolates go very well together, but the brandied prune? Maybe not so much (just my opinion). Thanks Chef for thinking about us though. 🙂
Enjoy. Eat well.
