Apple Tart

The other night, K, the pantry chef had me prep the apples up for her tart tatin dessert (with her overseeing of course). First core and peel the apples. Next slice very thin. Then, place in a skillet with butter and sugar and let them caramelize. Fairly simple, even for me.  From ten apples, I filled four individual-sized crocks.

Sorry, pictures are fuzzy. Phone camera, taken on the fly. The crocks are then refrigerated to firm up. When an order comes in, K will flip the apples over warm puff pastry and finish with vanilla bean ice whipped cream and vanilla bean ice cream.
