White Tea

Last Sunday, ┬áThe Cat took a day trip over to the Big Island to visit a client. One product they’re experimenting with is tea plants grown on volcanic rich soil.

They’re thinking about marketing tea leaves to make white tea. The client gave The Cat a sample packet.

The tea has a fresh “green” taste with a mild mineral aftertaste (must be from the volcanic soil). The leaves are a little more “rustic” than the ones we’ve seen in China. Very pleasant.
