But green is okay. My first time trying “snow ice” . I think it’s ice that’s been flavored with mild powder, as compared with “shave ice” (plain ice that syrup is poured over. There’s a “Snow Factory” in our neighborhood (Windward City Shopping Center, Kaneohe, Hawaii). Here’s their website:Â http://www.snowfactoryhawaii.com/snowfactoryhawaii.com/Home.html.
Instead of trying to choose a flavor and toppings, I went with one of their “combos”.
Green tea flavored snow ice, adzuki beans, mochi balls, and condensed milk.
I was expecting the “snow” to come out in “ribbons” like the picture, but I ended up with more of a lump.
Interesting. The shave is much finer than “shave ice”. The texture is a lot smoother. Over all, not bad. The socks stayed firmly on (well, in this case, da slippahs). 😉
The shop has a variety of “sprinkles” on the counter that is help yourself (I remember Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, cereal, peanuts, almonds, and M&Ms), a definite plus. I tried a little of the Oreos.
One of the “combos” is a mocha “snow” and coffee jelly concoction that I want to try next time.
Enjoy. Eat well.
The Mouse
Mouse, this similar to ice kachang that I was telling you about. Bet you would like Singapore ice kachang!
Thanks, gotta put that on my list. 🙂
yikes, I read yellow snow, then the number 2 twice, yep that’s where my mind went, sorry… 🙂
You are not alone. I’ve been told I have a warped sense of humor. Love it. 🙂
Looks great!
Thanks for commenting. It looked pretty impressive.
My father used to make ice cream from real snow! Take clean white snow (NOT YELLOW!), add eggs, vanilla, and a little milk. I love green tea ice cream, and this looks just as good.
Wow! Your father’s recipe must’ve tasted grand. Thanks for sharing. Eat well.
I have yet to try the snow. I naturally don’t eat a lot, especially sweet things. I tend to have a salt tooth, then a sweet tooth. I still want to try it, tho. Maybe one day.
BTW, did you go to Eat the Street tonight? It was bacon theme. There was even SPAM popsicle. I thought that was interesting. LOL
Nope. I don’t eat well in crowded areas, especially while standing up. I guess I haven’t mastered multi-tasking yet. 🙂
Yummy!
🙂
Your the best, Mouse
The number 22 really looks so Ono 😊
Thanks for stopping in. It was pretty tasty.
