Out-of-town guests. Sunday brunch at Hoku’s ย (The Kahala Hotel & Resort, 5000 Kahala Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii). I’ve posted about this place a couple of times (so I won’t bore you with repeats). Just some juices that are offered to start the brunch.
Good combination, cool and sweet.
Another good combination. Veggie with a bit of a bite.
Weird, very weird.
BTW, the buffet line had fresh figs.
I’ve never seen (much less tasted) a fresh fig before. A new experience. Closest thing to figs were dried figs and Fig Newtons. I prefer Fig Newtons first and dried figs second before fresh figs. Oh well, at least I dried them.
Enjoy.

[…] Honestly, I could not remember if I ever ate fresh figs before. Had to look back into the archives, and lo and behold … a post. […]
Love fresh figs..My landlord in Los Angeles used to give me fresh figs all the time ๐
First time for me (except for the dried ones). ๐
Yummy!
skin can be tasty, but for some reason they say [don’t ask who!] we should peel it off! If you ever come across Greek figs or [even better] visit around August – September, you MUST try them. If you like dried ones, these you’ll love! Your posts open up my appetite!
Thank you. Your art brightens my days!
Figs are my favorite fruit [August & September is their time over here] …but we peel the skin off, little Mouse!
Oh. Didn’t come with instructions. Next time I know better. Thank you. ๐
