I’ve posted about these places before. Posting now mostly for the pictures.
Out-of-town guests, one of our go-to choices for weekend brunch.
Steamed opakapaka (again), egg benedict, bacon, broccoli and shrimp salad, temaki sushi (unagi and avocado, and spicy tuna and avocado). The opakapaka was missing a little something, so, one bite of fish and one bite of bacon (my own surf and turf, as it were) and everything is right with the world. The sushi chef allowed me to add avocado to the two temaki rolls, the avocado is normally only for the California roll. Shh, it’s our little secret. 😉
Mushrooms and asparagus from the antipastoplatter, and a slice of prime rib. The prime rib was almost fork tender and very tasty. I think I’m getting better at plating at buffets for pictures (not as chaotic looking).
Strawberry shortcake, their famous bread pudding, and a fruit tart.
The Cat took them sightseeing and shopping. Dinner was very late, another one of our go-to places.
The Cat had roast duck soup noodle.
I ordered the Chinese chicken salad, I didn’t want anything too heavy.
Good thing they put the salad dressing on the side, I’ve learned to eat salad with a small amount of dressing. A little ginger and Chinese parsley added to the salad would be good.
