A can of chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans)


Two cloves of garlic, braised in peanut oil and soju until soft (because raw garlic and The Cat’s stomach can’t get along)


About one and a half tablespoons of roasted almond butter (natural, no salt or sugar), because we didn’t have tahini in the pantry


A pinch of salt, some fresh cracked black pepper, a pinch of sugar, and a squeeze of lime juice (no lemons), a whirl with my lightsaber (aka my immersion blender)


A splash of Macadamia oil (infused with Italian herbs) just before serving and tah dah, hummus, The Mouse version 1.0. Served with toasted pita bread wedges.

Was it authentic? Probably not, but The Cat was happy ^.^ and it tasted good.
