I thought I wrote about this onigiri before (I can’t find it). Oh well, if you’ve already read about it, sorry, my bad.

This onigiri is from one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in town.

Maneki Neko

This huge onigiri has takuwan, Spam and seaweed tsukudani. Yum.


The Money Shot

This one onigiri has almost all (except for furikake and umeboshi, I think) of the different ingredients that would normally go into separate onigiri.

According to the restaurant manager, E, because they cook their rice the old school way (over an open flame instead of a rice cooker, even cold, the rice still tastes good (he’s right, in my opinion).
