The Cat had Chinese New Year’s dinner with a client and The Mouse got to go too. 🙂 Can you guess where we went? We ordered the special set dinner with a few add ons.

The Menu

Chinese Roast Duck Salad

Golden Scallop Corn Soup

Pot Roast Pork

Snapper Filet

Mixed Dry Mushroom

We added a dish from the Italian side of the menu.

This is like de-constructed ravioli with scallops, one of The Cat’s favorites.

Szechuan Eggplant

We can’t visit Ciao Mein without ordering the Szechuan eggplant.

How good was the dinner you may ask?

That good. The Cat said the post roast pork (shoyu pork) was one of the best, ever.  (Note to self: according to Chef Ching, the ingredient were Shao Xing wine, shoyu, sugar, cinnamon, and star anise. Pork belly was simmered whole before being sliced and simmered more in the sauce.)

Dessert was green tea panna cotta.
