I’ve posted about this place before. But it’s so good that I want to post again. This time though I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Guess where we went tonight.
Pasta with uni! The Cat was impressed. The Cat had two servings of this. I liked it too but there were other foods that I was really interested in (scroll down to find out).
No reason, I just thought the lemon slices would make a nice picture, plus The Cat likes lemon in her drinking water (what a strange kitty)(just kidding). 😉
Not sure if you can tell but the tomatoes are peeled. Ever since The Cat had tomatoes here, The Mouse peels the tomatoes at home (the peeling technique is for another post). I peel the cucumbers too.
The color of the tempura was slightly tinged because they were sitting under a heat lamp.
This is the stuff that doesn’t go into the shrimp tempura. Although the shrimp tempura was good, the other parts were better. Think deep fried fish bones.
Everything before is the opening act. These are the main headliners (to me anyway). Drum roll please, tah dah!
The Mouse was extremely happy. Nom nom nom.
The above picture is what my plate looked liked several times over. Yum
I didn’t just eat sashimi, uni, and ikura. I did sample the other selections (from the top, asparagus spears, fresh shiitake mushrooms from the shabu shabu pan with sesame seed sauce, lamb chop, roasted garlic cloves, roasted sweet potato, and grilled rib eye steak. They were all delicious.
The savory portion of the dinner ended with tamago sushi and sweetened black soy beans with chestnut. The sweetened black soy beans and chestnut is a traditional Japanese dish eaten at new years (not sure why).
The dessert selections included:
They also had azuki beans with mochi, and mochi balls on skewers.
Do you know where we were yet? If you guessed here. You would be correct.
Sorry, no prize for guessing right, we ate the prize. 😉
Enjoy.
