Our weekly menu oftentimes depends on what’s at the market, what’s on sale, and what people give to us from their gardens. This week, one of The Cat’s friends gave us bitter melon. I found turnip greens (they were attached to baby turnips) at our local Korean market.
This is what The Cat had for dinner (The Mouse cooked), she brought the leftovers for lunch.
For The Cat’s starch, I made zhou (aka jook) with brown rice, chestnuts, soybeans, and wheat germ.
The Cat liked the zhou so much that she was like the bowl afterwards (very cat-like behavior).
Enjoy.
