Another banquet. This time it was for some visiting dignitaries from China.
The Cat’s friend asked if we could help him out and attend (he is a president of one of the local Chinese societies and was “requested” to buy a table of ten).
The Crowd
There were twenty tables of ten so potentially 200 people.
By the time the speeches ended and the various VIPs were introduced, it was almost an hour before the start of dinner.

Whew! Nothing new, happens at almost all “formal” Chinese dinners.
Anyway, on to the food.

The Cat thought the dessert was the highlight of the dinner. I thought the chicken was pretty tasty, even though the skin wasn’t crispy.
There was even some non-Chinese after dinner entertainment (a new one for me).

More like Hawaiian music, jazzed up.
Hula
The dancers tried to get some of the dignitaries to “hula” with mixed results. 
After two “banquets” this weekend, have to really watch my eating this week.
