The Cat heard about a place that manufactures gelato in town. A search through the internet and we find La Gelateria (819 Cedar Street, Honolulu, Hawaii).
Basically, the place is not a store or retail shop. They produce gelato and sorbetto for restaurants and other outlets. They sell the excess or overruns from a freezer in the office. No menu. Flavors are whatever they have. We choose Kona coffee and ginger.
You may have noticed the coconut macaroon and custard tart from the prior post. We did the two things on the same day.
As La Gelateria’s website informs, the flavors were intense. The texture was lighter than ice cream, less creamy mouth feel. Glad we found it. The prices were more than fair. The cups we purchased were two dollars each (no tax).
Definitely will return.
BTW, I love their signage on their truck.
I think if I ever get inked, “lick love live” will surely be tattooed somewhere on my body (I’m not telling where, don’t ask).
Maybe I’ll add “laugh” to the list too.
Enjoy.
