I was looking for a new place for lunch the other day. I’ve driven by this placea couple of times and was curious.
I thought it was a Japanese restaurant, turns out, it’s a Japanese bento shop. Came looking for teishoku, ended up eating bento (semantics).
I saw on the menu they have omelet rice. Give it a try (I’ve never had omelet rice before).
This one was pre-made. I’ve read over the internet the importance of it being fresh made. I asked if I could have a fresh one, the clerk threw a pre-made one in the micro (lost in translation). Sigh.
The rice reminded me of small kid time lunch at the cafeteria, Spanish Rice. The omelet wasn’t bad (socks stayed on). Overall, not bad, I think it would have been better fresh.
I also picked up a side order of kabocha and green beans. This was really good. One of the best I’ve had in a while. And for two dollars, highly recommended.
I wouldn’t mind trying some of their other bento selections. Cheap eats.
Enjoy.
